CMA/LPN - Family Health Center At Enka-candler

MAHEC Division of Family Medicine seeks to fill a full-time (40 hours per week), benefited CMA or LPN for its Family Health Center at Enka/Candler.
The schedule is rotating with hours between 7:30AM - 5:30PM (Monday - Friday).
The CMA/LPN will share responsibilities for the day to day operations of the health center, including front desk, lab and clinical services. Responsibilities include assisting care providers, maintaining medical records and coordinating patient activities. Clinical and lab duties include specimen collection, lab testing, administration of medications, immunizations for children and adults, patient intake and exit interviews. Front office duties include appointment scheduling, insurance verification, telephone triage, check in, check-out, assessment of charges, past due balances and collection of fees. Additional duties include the use of data and patient registries for outreach to patients in need of preventive care and follow up care for chronic conditions.
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Practical Nursing licensure (LPN) is required. CMA candidates must be certified through AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, or other accredited agency. NHA certified candidates must have completed a 1-2 year diploma or degree program or have two years of prior clinical experience. CPR certification required. Preferred skills and experience: Minimum 1 year experience in an ambulatory care setting, primary care or family health preferred, 3 years preferred. Bilingual (Spanish/English). Phlebotomy and electronic health record (EHR) required. Candidates with an existing certification or license preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
